§ 220-36. Essential services.

A.B.The Town Planning Board shall determine the following prior to approving a special use permit for essential services:(1)The proposed use complies with the general requirements in § 220-35 of this article.(2)The proposed installation in a specific location is necessary and convenient for the efficiency of the essential service or the satisfactory and convenient provision of service to the area in which the particular use is located.(3)The design of any building in connection with such facility shall conform to the general character of the area and will not adversely affect the safe and comfortable enjoyment of property rights in the district in which it is to be located.(4)Adequate and attractive fences and other safety devices will be provided.(5)A buffer strip not less than 15 feet in depth shall be provided around the perimeter of the property.(6)Adequate off-street parking shall be provided.(7)All other applicable requirements of this chapter shall be met.
